Using pre-defined holidays

Based on your installation, your system comes with a set of pre-defined public holidays specific to your location that you may want to adapt:

  1. Go to “Calendar” > “Holiday selection”
  2. Select (deselect) all holidays you do (not) want to use in your system
  3. Navigate to the tab to the left, i.e. “Holidays”
=> A miniature calendar is displayed, indicating all the public holidays that have already been correctly set for your system; these are listed in “Holidays already set”
=> Your previously selected holidays are listed in “Holidays that have not been set”
  4. Click any of the holidays from the list of non-set holidays
    => A pop-up window (i.e. “Enter holidays”) is displayed
  5. (OPTIONAL) If applicable, you can adjust the “Description” (e.g. holiday name) and “Date” to your needs
HINT: you can define the date either by entering it in the date field or simply by clicking the day in the miniature calendar
  6. At “Duration”, select whether the holiday will account for a whole or half day off
  7. Click “OK” to finish editing this holiday
  8. Repeat the procedure for all non-set holidays
  9. Once there are no more entries in “Holidays that have not been set”, click “Save” at the bottom of the page

HINT: If you don’t want to change anything about the pre-defined holidays, you can also click “Set holidays automatically” at the bottom of the page – don’t forget to click “Save” at the end if you’re happy with the result

Adding a new, custom holiday

  1. At the bottom of the page, click “Add new holiday”
  2. Fill out “Description”, “Date” and “Duration”
HINT: see USING PRE-DEFINED HOLIDAYS above for more information on each field
  3. Click “OK” at the end of the window
=> The new holiday is now listed in “Holidays already set”
